Wilsons Abel Tasman vessel at Kaiteriteri

The fleet behind every Wilsons Abel Tasman journey

Built to move with the coast.

Our boats are more than transport. They are the link between Kaiteriteri, beaches, walking tracks, lodge stays, water taxi pick-ups and the sheltered bays that make Abel Tasman accessible.

Piloting the whole operation

Built for the coast. Run by people who know it.

Every vessel in the Wilsons fleet was specified, built or retrofitted for Abel Tasman, not adapted from somewhere else. The catamarans are New Zealand-made, engineered for a shallow granite coastline where timing, tide and swell vary daily. The Vigour is a water taxi designed for precision: reaching bays the big boats don't schedule, extracting guests who've walked as far as they want to go.

Behind the fleet are skippers and crew who've run this coast for years. That local knowledge of when to push north, where the tide turns, and which headland shelters a beach landing is what makes the schedule work, and what turns a boat trip into something worth talking about.
