Waking up to the beach
We watched the sun rise over Awaroa with a coffee on the deck. Once the day boats had gone, the bay felt like ours. A completely different side of the park.

Our Beachfront Lodges
Wake to birdsong, wander the beach before breakfast and experience Abel Tasman after the boats have departed. Our exclusive beachfront lodges offer a comfortable base for exploring the national park, with meals, luggage transfers and thoughtful hospitality included.
More than a place to stay
Our lodge-based journeys are designed for people who want more than a day trip. By staying within Abel Tasman National Park, you'll experience the quieter moments that many visitors never see, from peaceful mornings on the beach to golden evenings after the last boats have departed.
With comfortable ensuite accommodation, freshly prepared meals, luggage transfers and boat transport included, we take care of the logistics so you can enjoy the journey at your own pace.
Whether you choose a guided or self-guided itinerary, every stay is built around the same philosophy: slow down, explore further and reconnect with nature.
Wake just metres from the shoreline at our lodges in Torrent Bay and Awaroa.
Enjoy warm hospitality, comfortable ensuite accommodation and freshly prepared meals.
Walk as much or as little as you like, with boat support and optional guided experiences.
Why stay longer?
Most visitors experience Abel Tasman for just a few hours. Staying overnight lets you enjoy the park at a different pace, when the beaches are quieter, the tracks are less travelled and there's time to simply sit back and appreciate your surroundings. It's an experience that's difficult to capture on a day trip.
Slow mornings
Enjoy breakfast overlooking the beach before setting out.
Walk your own pace
Choose shorter walks, longer hikes or simply relax around the lodge.
Local hospitality
Our lodge teams prepare each meal and help you make the most of every day.
Everything organised
Accommodation, meals, luggage transfers and transport all work together as one seamless journey.
Two unique locations
Each lodge has its own character, but both share the same relaxed atmosphere, beachfront setting and welcoming hospitality. Most multi-day itineraries include time at both locations, allowing you to experience different parts of the coastline.
Awaroa Inlet
A heritage-inspired homestead beside Awaroa, used as a welcoming overnight stop on lodge-based walks.

Meals, transfers and luggage were all sorted before we arrived. All we had to do was walk, swim and turn up for dinner. Exactly the kind of trip we needed.

The lodge team made us feel looked after from the moment we arrived. Dinner felt like being fed by friends, not a hotel. We're already planning our return.
