FAQs

Common questions

Quick answers to the practical details guests usually check before enquiring.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend enquiring as early as possible, especially in peak season, since charters run on request and are subject to availability.

What's included in the fare?

Your fare covers exclusive use of the boat and an experienced skipper. The minimum fare covers up to two passengers, with a per-person rate applying above that, up to a maximum of 19 passengers.

Can I combine this with other trips?

Yes. Private charters are often combined with walking sections of the coast track, guided or self-guided walks, kayaking, or a stay at one of our beachfront lodges.

What happens in poor weather?

Charters are subject to weather and sea conditions. Our skippers will advise on the best timing and, where needed, help you reschedule.

Is there a minimum group size?

No minimum group size, though a minimum fare applies covering up to two passengers regardless of how many travel.

Where do I check in?

Check-in location depends on your confirmed departure point. Once your charter is confirmed, we'll send the correct location and time.
