Picnic lunches are included in all of our lodge-based trips, prepared fresh each day as part of your stay.
Lunch options.
Whether you're on a lodge stay or a day trip, there's a lunch option to suit. Picnics, onboard menus and bring-your-own are all catered for.
Day trips
Order ahead, or bring your own
On day trips, if you would like a delicious picnic lunch prepared for you and delivered to the boat, please give us your order by 5pm the night before your trip. Not available in June, July or August.
You're welcome to bring your own lunch instead. There is a cafe and store at Kaiteriteri where you can buy food to take away. Allow time to buy your lunch, as the store can be busy during the holiday season.

We can cater for most dietary requirements. Each menu has vegetarian, vegan, nut, gluten and dairy-free options with similar ingredients, modified to suit special diets.
Classic Picnic
$30 per person
Standard, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free and vegan options available.
Hamper Picnic
$60 per person
Served in a picnic hamper. Not suitable for kayaking trips.
Classic Kiwi Barbecue Lunch
$60 per person
A hearty barbecue spread, available to pre-order on selected trips.
Onboard the Vista Cruise
Drinks, snacks and light meals.
The Vista Cruise has a selection of hot and cold drinks, including beer and wine, plus ice creams, snacks and light meals available to purchase onboard.
